Originally posted on October 26, 2022: U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Yuma Station arrested an aggravated felon early Monday morning after he illegally entered the U.S. from Mexico.
Record checks conducted on Jose Santos Zavala Bonilla, a 77-year-old Honduran criminal illegal, revealed he has felony convictions for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and reentry of a removed alien.
Zavala Bonilla was sentenced to more than 14 years in prison for his collective crimes and will once again face time behind bars for illegal reentry.
