The first two cases of fentanyl overdose were reported in Colombia

The first two cases of fentanyl overdose were reported in Colombi. The news, spread by some media, alarmed the health authorities and the community.

The sociologist Julián Quintero, director of Acción Técnica Social, an organization dedicated to understanding the drug problem in the country, is emphatic in saying that what is happening is only due to an act of media irresponsibility.

“We do not know scientific evidence of these cases. A doctor who comes out to say that a patient consumed tusi and another who injected fentanyl. But we do not know anything about physicochemical analysis,” Quintero, who has dedicated his entire life to the scientific and social study of psychoactive substances in the country.
