Ovidio Guzman Lopez, alias El Raton, the first of El Chapo’s sons to plead guilty in the U.S. to racketeering, arms trafficking, and money laundering, has secured a plea deal with U.S. authorities.

He will pay $80 million to avoid a life sentence and enter a witness protection program after his release. His sentence length will depend on his cooperation with authorities.
