Authorities in Mexico have caught children behind the wheel of so-called ‘narco tanks’ belonging to a drug cartel.
The State Security Bureau of the State of Sonora announced five custom-made armoured vehicles were seized in two operations, along with high-powered weapons, ammo and tactical gear.
During the first operation, authorities detained six people who were riding in three narco tanks in the municipality of Pitiquito, Sonora. Of those six, four were minors.
A second operation found two more modified armoured vehicles in the town of Sáric as well as two more guns, 58 magazines and 2,641 cartridges.
